Concordia's Homecoming events include something for everyone. Bring your family, join old friends and make new memories on campus this fall. We invite all alumni, but especially those with class years ending in 3 or 8, back to campus for a reunion celebration this fall, Oct. 13-15, 2023

We have added a HASHTAG PRINTER to Homecoming 2022, so when you post to INSTAGRAM with #UMHBHOCO2022,we will print out the picture and display it for you to pick up at the Homecoming Hub at the alumni center. Your account will need to be set to public to obtain your pictures.


Be part of history, and lend your voice to our video project. Stop by the video booth in Bawcom Student Union to read the script for a chance to be featured in a Commencement or Welcome Week video. We would love for as many alumni voices and faces to be part of this new tradition.


Did you know that Career Services offers support to alumni? They do! Connect with Career Services and see all they can assist you with, including resume help, interview support, job postings, recruiting, etc. Stop by their open house, and you will get a chance to win a UMHB Yeti.


Join us for a barbecue tailgate catered by Miller's Smokehouse as we get ready for the big game against Austin College. The tickets are $15 per person, and space is limited. Reserved areas will be marked for groups having reunions: Class of 1981 & 1982, Class of 1992, Class of 2007, and Class of 2012. Contact us if you would like a reserved space at alumni@umhb.edu.


Come cheer on the Cru as they take on the 'Roos in an exciting Homecoming matchup. All alumni are encouraged to visit the alumni check-in table on the south concourse to pick up some alumni swag. Check out our pop-up museum exhibit on the home concourse and help us celebrate the 25th season of Crusader Football.

We welcome you to stop by the Religious Studies Department Suite for an open house reception! Reconnect with fellow alumni, see your old professors and meet new professors, and learn about exciting new developments in the department


Kick off your Homecoming weekend festivities at Rock the Block Community block party with the entire Elon community of alumni, faculty/staff and students. Sample the menus from a variety food trucks, challenge your friends to a game of axe throwing or corn hole, dance to live music by Finesse, or play with your children at one of the inflatables or activities just for kids. An evening of fun for everyone! ($8 per food truck ticket $21 for three $5 per beer/wine ticket)


Campus Recreation started at Elon in 1992 and this fall marks our 30th year of providing recreational and educational programs and services to Elon students, faculty, and staff. Throughout the 30 years, thousands of Elon students have made memories through participation in signature experiences such as intramural and club sports, Adventures in Leadership and other outdoors experiences, fitness and wellness programs, and through student employment. As we look ahead to the future as Campus Recreation & Wellness, we invite all past student employees and other alums who have been impacted by Campus Rec and RecWell to join us to celebrate this milestone. Lunch: $10We welcome all band alumni to join the current FOTC for lunch at the Center for the Arts at 12:00 PM. Band students will be returning from our Phoenix Walk performance, and we will have an hour to have lunch and prepare for the game. We would love for you to join us.

The Office of Alumni Relations is an integral part of the Institutional Advancement Office at Virginia State University. Looking for a fun way to get involved with your alma mater and connect with fellow McK graduates? Look no further than the Homecoming Committee. It's that time of year when the Alumni Office starts planning for the Homecoming & Alumni Weekend. We are looking for individuals who would like to volunteer to serve on this year's Homecoming Committee. Open to all alums, the Homecoming Committee's purpose is to provide a Homecoming program that is a celebration of the spirit and traditions of McKendree University. Our vision is to unite our fellow McKendree graduates by organizing and implementing a weekend of events which encourage alums to come back to campus to remember the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to the future. The Homecoming Committee is comprised of alumni representing the diversity of all McKendree graduates including gender, race, class year and affinity groups. The length of commitment for the Homecoming Committee is one year.


If you are interested in volunteering to serve as a member of the McKendree Alumni Homecoming Committee, please fill out the interest form below. The Homecoming Committee gives alumni an excellent opportunity to give back to the campus and the community while having a blast celebrating their Bearcat pride! The committee requests will be reviewed by the Office of Development, Alumni & Parent Relations, and selected alumni can expect a response within 2 weeks of submitting an interest form.
